What Makes Us Different

Our Curriculum

We utilize a play-based, child-led curriculum that is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. We let nature, art and music be our guide as we introduce the children to new and exciting curriculum topics. Our Artist of the Month curriculum is an exciting way to introduce children to the many great artists of the world. Our goal at The Pearson Street Preschool is to help your child become a curious, enthusiastic and avid learner.

A Unique Learning Experience

While we are very proud of our sister school, The School for Early Excellence, the Pearson Street Preschool will not be a carbon copy or a chain. Our school is unique. We will adapt and incorporate the teaching and learning philosophy that has made The School for Early Excellence so successful with students and families, but tailor it to our students, their parents and the Andover Community.

Flexible Part-time and Full-time Scheduling Options

At the Pearson Street Preschool, we can accommodate the schedules of working parents, while providing children with a quality educational experience.  Approximately half of our students attend a half day program with the remaining attending a full day program. Our school opens at 7:30am and closes at 5:30pm. We offer a variety of scheduling options such as 9am - 12pm or 7:30-5:30pm. We will work with you to provide a schedule that will meet the needs of your family.

Enrichment Activities

To stimulate learning through all the senses, we offer enrichment activities such as weekly music lessons, movement classes and yoga. These activities are provided at no additional cost.

Our Amazing Teachers

Our teachers' happiness is extremely important to us. Happy teachers = happy children. Our teachers are provided with the support needed to perform to their highest abilities. Not only do all of our teachers have a minimum of a bachelor's degree, they are also certified by the state of Massachusetts. Our sister school currently has a 0% turn over rate. All of our teachers have been with us since the beginning!

Low Student to Teacher Ratio

We provide a low student teacher ratio. This allows our teachers to sit down more often with our students to help them explore and learn from their environment.

Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.
